Empowering Youth Workers. Strengthening Europe.
“Youth Goals for Developing Youth Workers’ Efficiency” was an international Erasmus+ Training Course that brought together youth workers from across Europe to strengthen their professional competences and enhance the impact of youth work in their communities.
The project took place in Paralimni, Cyprus from 22 – 30 January 2026 and focused on Non-Formal Learning, intercultural exchange, and the implementation of the EU Youth Goals.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
This project promoted international cooperation between experienced and emerging youth organisations across Europe.
Through Non-Formal Education methodologies, participants shared personal and professional experiences, worked collaboratively, and developed practical tools aimed at:

Strengthening youth workers’ competences

Promoting social inclusion and equality

Enhancing intercultural learning
-
Supporting European identity and active citizenship
The training equipped youth workers with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to effectively empower young people and address modern societal challenges.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY
The training was structured around Non-Formal Education (NFE) principles and experiential learning.
Participants:

Engaged in interactive workshops and group activities
-
Exchanged good practices and real case studies
-
Developed youth-oriented activities based on EU Youth Goals

Strengthened their analytical and critical thinking skills
-
Created final products for dissemination
The programme ran daily from 09:30 to 19:00 and required full participation and engagement.
RESULTS & IMPACT
As a result of the Training Course:

Youth workers improved their professional competences

New youth-focused activities were developed

Participants strengthened international partnerships

Youth Goals were further integrated into local youth work strategies

Dissemination activities were carried out in partner countries
The project contributed to strengthening European cooperation in the youth field and enhancing the quality of youth work practices.
